1. Introduction Welcome to Saku (also referred to as "SakuStocks"), owned and operated by Saku Financial Inc. ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy governs your use of the Saku mobile application. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal data we hold about you. This policy outlines our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of your information when you use our gamified financial tracking service. By creating an account or using Saku, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect To provide and improve our services, we collect the following types of information:

A. Information You Provide to Us Directly

• Account Data: When you register as a "Gardener," we collect your email address, your chosen username, and a secure password.
• Profile Data: Information you choose to display on your public profile.
• User-Generated Content (UGC): Any posts, comments, or media you publish within the Saku community feeds.

B. Information Collected Automatically via App Usage

• Gameplay and App Data: We collect and store data related to your in-app activity. This includes your watchlists (your "Garden"), virtual balances (XP and simulated "Seeds"), leveling data, unlocked badges, and your historical staking/risking decisions.
• Social Interactions: We record your social graph within the app, including the users you follow, the users who follow you, and the specific stocks or "Gardens" you "like."
• Device and Analytics Data: We assign and store a unique User ID (UID) to securely manage your account. We may also automatically collect basic device information (such as device model, operating system version, and IP address) and crash logs through Firebase to ensure app stability and performance.

3. How We Use Your Information We use the collected data for the following purposes:

• To create, maintain, and secure your Saku account.
• To operate the app's core gamification features (e.g., updating your XP and virtual "Seed" balances).
• To enable the social features of the platform, such as displaying your public profile, community posts, and "Garden" to other users.
• To route market data requests and generate AI-driven macroeconomic summaries.

4. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing We rely on select third-party service providers to operate Saku. We do not sell your personal information. Data is shared with third parties only to the extent necessary to provide our services:

• Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Storage): We use Firebase as our core backend infrastructure. Your email, username, password, UID, UGC, and app usage data are securely stored on Firebase servers.
• Render: We utilize Render for our Node.js backend proxy to securely route data between the app and external APIs.
• Market Data Providers (Tiingo & Binance): We request real-time market data from these services. No Personally Identifiable Information (PII) is shared with these providers. We only transmit generic stock ticker symbols to retrieve pricing data.
• Google Gemini API: We use Gemini to generate macroeconomic summaries. No PII is shared with this service. We only transmit generic, non-identifiable prompts regarding stock movements.
• Giphy API: Used to source GIFs within the application. No user PII is transmitted to Giphy.

5. Data Retention We retain your personal information only for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Saku services. If you choose to delete your account, your personal data will be permanently removed from our active databases, subject to any legal obligations that require us to retain such information.

6. Your Rights: Account and Data Deletion In compliance with Apple App Store and Google Play Store guidelines, you have the absolute right to request the deletion of your account and all associated personal data.

How to Request Deletion: You may initiate the deletion of your account directly within the Saku app by navigating to Settings > Account > Delete Account. Alternatively, you may submit a data deletion request by contacting us directly at hello@sakustocks.com. Upon verification of your request, we will permanently delete your email, username, password, community posts, and all associated gamification and watchlist data from our Firebase database within a reasonable timeframe (typically within 30 days).

7. Children's Privacy Saku is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13 (or the applicable legal age of majority in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our servers immediately.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in legal or regulatory obligations or changes in how we operate the app. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this document.
